La compassion pour les \u00e9l\u00e8ves, la responsabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019apprentissage des \u00e9l\u00e8ves, le d\u00e9vouement et l\u2019endurance sont n\u00e9cessaires ainsi que les connaissances techniques. Les salles de classe inclusives exercent une pression consid\u00e9rable sur les \u00e9l\u00e8ves ayant des besoins sp\u00e9ciaux, tandis que les ratios \u00e9l\u00e8ves-enseignants demeurent un probl\u00e8me. Les exigences des programmes d\u2019\u00e9tudes continuent de changer et de cro\u00eetre, tandis que le temps n\u00e9cessaire pour planifier et se pr\u00e9parer \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e d\u2019enseignement est affect\u00e9 par l\u2019augmentation du travail administratif et les activit\u00e9s parascolaires obligatoires avec les \u00e9l\u00e8ves. Au Canada, il y a eu une augmentation importante au cours des derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es de la charge de travail des enseignants et de la taille des salles de classe; cela a entra\u00een\u00e9 des niveaux de stress plus \u00e9lev\u00e9s.
