Les ambulanciers param\u00e9dicaux sont r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement confront\u00e9s \u00e0 des traumatismes; leur travail implique l\u2019exp\u00e9rience quotidienne de servir et de voir des personnes en d\u00e9tresse. Chaque appel auquel ils r\u00e9pondent peut \u00eatre une situation de vie ou de mort. Il y a peu de temps pour traiter et traiter leurs r\u00e9actions \u00e0 chaque \u00e9v\u00e9nement traumatique au fur et \u00e0 mesure qu\u2019il se produit, exacerbant ainsi les sympt\u00f4mes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Les personnes souffrant de SSPT \u00e9prouvent un large \u00e9ventail de probl\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 physique et mentale n\u00e9gatifs, affectant non seulement la personne, mais aussi leurs relations avec les proches. Les familles sont profond\u00e9ment touch\u00e9es par le traumatisme continu v\u00e9cu par un membre de la famille.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">6 000 ambulanciers param\u00e9dicaux canadiens interrog\u00e9s en 2015 ont identifi\u00e9 les probl\u00e8mes psychologiques et physiques les plus difficiles dans leur profession : incidents critiques, impact cumulatif, \u00e9puisement professionnel, fatigue de compassion et difficult\u00e9s de sommeil concomitantes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Le taux de suicide des ambulanciers param\u00e9dicaux au Canada en 2016 \u00e9tait de 56,72 pour 100 000, comparativement au taux moyen de suicide chez les hommes de 17,3 pour 100 000 et au taux moyen de femmes de 5,4 pour 100 000. Il a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9montr\u00e9 que la MT r\u00e9duit consid\u00e9rablement le stress et aide le corps et l\u2019esprit \u00e0 se remettre plus rapidement des situations stressantes. Au-del\u00e0 de la rem\u00e9diation des sympt\u00f4mes physiques et mentaux du stress, la MT peut renforcer et calmer le syst\u00e8me nerveux au quotidien pour apporter de la vigilance \u00e0 la journ\u00e9e de travail. Le stress psychologique et physique impliqu\u00e9 dans le travail des ambulanciers param\u00e9dicaux peut \u00eatre att\u00e9nu\u00e9 par la pratique r\u00e9guli\u00e8re de la
